Nominations of Positions – Adam MacKenzie

At the end of 2015 Julia Partington stepped down as Co- Chairperson of the school Partnership meetings and Ailsa Males also stepped down as Secretary. Adam has asked for a reprehensive from one of the schools to step up and take on the position of Co- Chairperson and also some who is interested in taking the position of secretary. Main project of Hawkesbury Council

Youth summit

    • Anti- bullying program – contacting school re an ongoing bullying program
    • To be launched March 18th 2016 to lead into the ongoing program
    • Info to be emailed out
    • Council would like to assist school further with anti-bullying rather than taking over other programs
    • Performance based programs –
    • RAW – a new program based on rock and water format 8 Week program

Mental health programs

    • Developing discussion with various organisation and would like to gain further contacts re programs

Integrated service support

Forum coming up – March 9th – Positive psychology

Would like to gain more information for the various mental health programs in schools.

Youth Fest 15th March 2016 – Youth week March 8th – 14th  – for youth who would like to put an event at the youth quest. Flyers to be handed out.

Council Library would like to build their communication with schools.

Chadwick – Headspace – open to offer and run various programs based on new research

ADE- Disability service – running workshop at local library at current. Looking to be based in schools and help youth re employment and work experience. Flexible with programs.

Criteria for students.

Has a nursery available for plants to be accessed.

Hoping to get an outreach centre in Hawkesbury.

Youth mental health first aid training coming up.

The Pitch – Adam Mackenzie

Platform Youth Services is currently working on a plan to have a mobile drop in space on a Thursday night at Richmond Park; the program will run similar to other programs in Penrith, we are looking for interest from Services or school to get involved, Please contact Adam @ Platform for more information.
